			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Finally &#8211; today &#8211; I came up with something to talk about other then the norm&#8230;</p>
<p>Basically what I want to do is this&#8230;</p>
<p>I&#8217;m going to give myself January to get used to this whole no eating meat &#8230;</p>
<p>February 1st I&#8217;m going to take the Special K challenge.  Basically you eat the cereal for breakfast and lunch, a healthy dinner, exercise, and eat Special K snacks&#8230;and you lose a pant size!  KEWL.  Guess we&#8217;ll see if it is legit or not.</p>
<p>From February 15th-April 15th I&#8217;m going to do two months of Weight Watchers.  When I was getting ready to get married back in 1999&#8230;my ex and I did Weight Watchers.  I was running about 208 then and ended up losing 38 pounds on Weight Watchers in 2 months.  I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;d get that good of a result this time&#8230;I was in the Army then and running about 15 miles a week PLUS a gallon of water a day.  But reteaching myself portion control is a biggie&#8230;and hopefully that will prepare me for&#8230;</p>
<p>April 15-May 15: VEGAN FOR A MONTH.  Completely vegan.  No fish.  No eggs.  No milk.  No cheese.  One full month of eating like a vegan and seeing what they go through.</p>
<p>May 15th?  Back to fish and stuff!  Yay!  Just in time for summer.  Hopefully the body will be ready just in time for summer as well.</p>
<p>Today?  Had salad with chickenless strips for lunch.  Din-din I had shrimp pasta!  YUMMY!</p>

<p>Today I got some great stuff for the next few days: Lobster Ravioli, Eggplant Parm, Chickenless Strips (for my salad), Smushed Bananas, Spankakopita&#8230;just some great, great stuff to eat.</p>
<p>So THANK YOU Trader Joe&#8217;s&#8230;something tells me I&#8217;ll be shopping there alot over the next 51 weeks.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m not as into the blogging yet as I thought I would be.  I know I&#8217;m much more mouthy about the subject&#8230;but I haven&#8217;t been able to put it into words just yet.</p>
<p>I guess adapting is the biggest obstacle.  I&#8217;ve been able to not eat meat and not drink&#8230;but wrapping my head around that has meant that other things have suffered because of it.  Like exercising.  I only did it twice this week.  Wii Fit is here and I haven&#8217;t done that either.  I just don&#8217;t&#8230;have the drive yet.  I&#8217;ve been bored and lethargic at the gym.  Haven&#8217;t been able to find my chi.</p>
<p>Hopefully next week will bring new beginnings.  I plan to start lifting again next week&#8230;so hopefully that will start me off.</p>
<p>I am happy that one week is down.  51 weeks to go.  1 week has been a CAKEWALK.  Hopefully the next 51 weeks will go just as smoothly.</p>
<p>Yesterday?  Pizza for dinner!  Yum.</p>

<p>Lazy day today though&#8230;no gym&#8230;haven&#8217;t really been able to get back into the exercising yet&#8230;hoping next week I can get fully back into it.  So &#8211; today will be the Wii Fit.</p>

<p>Went to a very nice local joint called Elements of Asia.  I ordered Steamed Vegetable Dumplings and two rolls of sushi.  ALso had some of Lauren&#8217;s crab wontons.  Everything was quite delish.  With me deciding to have seafood&#8230;Chinese is probably the best food to eat. <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Also had salad for lunch yesterday&#8230;and some french fries&#8230;.and a protein shake.</p>

<p>Today I made some great snacks.  First I had sliced potatoes&#8230;slice them semi thin &#8211; put the oven on 400 degrees.  Put cooking spray on the pan, place potatoes, season with some Goya Adobo, then put some cooking spray on top.  Cook for 50-60 minutes and BAM &#8211; yummy potato slices.  Add some Frank&#8217;s Hot Sauce and they are NUMMY.  Also had some Boca Chick&#8217;n Nuggets which I put some FHS on as well. </p>
<p>Suffice to say they both made some GREAT football food!  I&#8217;ll need to try and make some vegetarian chili for the Super Bowl&#8230;</p>
<p>Tomorrow?  Back to the gym!  I think I may also tackle my Wii Fit and start working out on that as well.</p>
<p>Eats today?  Hmmm&#8230;coffee in the morning.  Then the sliced potatoes.  Snack was some English tea biscuits.  Then dinner&#8230;Boca Chick&#8217;n Nuggets and Rice A Roni.  NUMMY!!!</p>
<p>3 days down!  Only 362 days to go!</p>

<p>Thinking about hitting the gym tomorrow for some cardio&#8230;we&#8217;ll see how the day goes.  I think mentally I&#8217;m prepped for Monday &#8211; so I may just kick back and watch some football with my baby.</p>
<p>2 days down&#8230;363 days to go!</p>
<p>Hmmm&#8230;what did I eat today?  I had cereal for breakfast and some mac &amp; cheese for lunch.  I had chips and salsa as a snack followed by some tillapia and potatoes for dinner.  Finished it off with a SmartOnes ice cream.</p>
<p>Not too shabby &#8211; not too shabby indeed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My plan was to write throughout December prepping for my year-long trek of no meat and no drinking.</p>
<p>Unfortunetly some sudden things came up that made me lose sight which included a trip to North Carolina and the death of my grandmother, having my son for nearly a week, and all the holidays.</p>
<p>Everything came and went with a blur &#8211; really moved FAST!!!  Today starts that year-long  journey and I&#8217;m pretty psyched for it.  I think most of my friends think I&#8217;m nuts&#8230;and most of them also think that this is something I actually WON&#8217;T be able to accomplish.  I&#8217;m sure, in the back of their minds, I&#8217;ll be eating and drinking within the next two months.</p>
<p>Last night we went to a friend&#8217;s house for a New Year&#8217;s Party.  Jen was nice enough to make me a final meat course of my choosing&#8230;I chose Sloppy Joes!!!  Throughout the month I had my last buffalo wings, chinese food, and even McDonalds&#8230;which I never eat anyway.</p>
<p>So Day One is nearly in the books.  Monday starts up my exercise routine again - I&#8217;ve been exercising but haven&#8217;t been monitoring what I&#8217;ve been doing.  Monday starts off with writing down what I&#8217;m doing and continuing to improve week by week.</p>
<p>Food today?  Shrimp fajitas for lunch, Hot &amp; Sour soup for dinner.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m excited!  Only&#8230;364 days to go!!!</p>

<p>Especially this week.  I flew down to North Carolina and my grandmother passed away the night I got down here.  So I&#8217;m still here with family, waiting for the funeral tomorrow.  I&#8217;ll be back in Jersey then as well - and back to preperations for January 1st. </p>
